The design philosophy is 'complexity made simple'. Gemini performs highly complex tasks in a way which requires no specialist operator knowledge. The controls within the user interface, following familiar Office 2007 screen styles with ribbons and galleries, are contextual to the tasks being carried out, with easy to understand instructions and functionality. Drop down menus, obscure task bar icons and data trees are avoided in the focus to create a user-driven solution/design. Operator screens can be configured according to the skill of the operator - for example, in 'simple' or 'comprehensive' mode.
Gemini is a scaleable solution with no limit to the number of accounts and workstations. Support for third party CCTV and access control systems, as well as industry standard alarm panels, make Bold Gemini the most integrated monitoring solution available. Because all these services are handled within one user interface and a single Microsoft SQL database, minimal additional operator training is needed, and management reports are generated in a standard format. System design and reporting supports compliance with BS:5979 Cat II for UK Alarm Receiving Centres.
Additional features include Gemini Web Access which allows remote access for clients to update their own records and compile reports using the internet without the need of contacting the control room. Gemini MultiView is also unique to Gemini incorporating the latest in CCTV technology to allow operators to effectively manage multiple CCTV screens at any given time.
