The Identicom is a simple, yet cost-effective personal attack alarm design combined with a discrete ID card holder to be worn around the neck on a lanyard or on a lapel using a clip.
Identicom contains a covert GSM (for a SIM card from any GSM network) module and a microphone. On the reverse of the unit are simple buttons and indicators that allow the lone worker to quickly operate the device in the field.
When worn, the Identicom is always within immediate reach to the wearer and, when needed, provides an essential link to help whilst at the same time being covert and discrete.
Upon activation, the Identicom rings a pre-programmed number in the control room. The operator can then listen-in to the attack and decide the best form of action to take. The software will provide the operator with the name of the Identicom user and any other relevant information like the name of their line manager, or their home address.
A list of procedures for the operator to follow will also be seen on screen, along with the name and telephone number of anyone who should be contacted. The software records all Identicom audio which may be used in court proceedings, and provides full reports on response time and reaction to an alarm.
Identicom is suitable for almost all lone worker applications including:
- Healthcare workers visiting patients in their homes
- Local authority workers including community wardens, parking attendants and social workers.
- Educational establishments where security is an increasing requirement
- Commercial security companies with manned guards and keyholders
The Bold Identicom also comes with a Man-Down, GPS and GPS with Man-Down Option. For more information please click on the links above. |
