At IFSEC 2012, the latest version of the Gemini platform will be launched, featuring multi-protocol alarm handling, CCTV verification, lone worker protection, control room management and support for all leading security monitoring products in the UK market. Gemini also supports full compliance with the UK standard for alarm receiving centres, BS:5979 CatII.

The Association of Security Consultants held their Sixteenth Conference at the Royal Air Force Museum, Hendon. Conference speakers included Patron of the Association, Lord Bethell, as well as Patrick Mercer, OBE, MP and Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Counter-Terrorism. The conference theme, “Business Protection – the Holistic Approach” was aimed at the audience of government, finance, retail and other security professionals present. With the significant technical and operational knowledge resources at the disposal of the Association, the Conference provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the holistic approach to business protection in the face of the continuing threats posed to society.

The Conference incorporated a sponsors’ showcase of leading security solutions. Bold’s Gemini solution was among this exclusive exhibition, providing an opportunity for security industry experts to update themselves with the UK’s leading monitoring software.

Bold is offering online training to all our Gemini customers as a part of their existing support package. The sessions are designed to help customers get the most out of their system. These 'bite-sized' (approx. 30 mins) modules will take place once-monthly, with each covering a specific area of the Gemini system.

One of Bold’s Technical Consultants, Shaun Gabriel, gave a well-received presentation to an audience of end users and security trade at the Global MS Security Seminar on the subject of security monitoring and integration. The presentation provided an outline of what goes on in the central station without using overly technical language.

IFSEC was different this year because the show was located in new halls and some of the regular exhibitors were absent. However, those weren’t the only differences as Bold’s industry leading Gemini software was shortlisted for the IFSEC Integrated Product of the Year Award. We had a record number of visitors to the stand who came from all over the world to see what Gemini had to offer.

The stars of the stand included –

• New Bold MultiView CCTV module which supports viewing of multiple cameras from different sites and diverse manufacturers’ systems
• Gemini PC Web providing remote access for installers and end-users to their data
• Access Control logging and alarm reporting interface
