Bold has added an interface to its award winning multi-platform software, Gemini, for alarm monitoring and management via reverse channel commands for Vanderbilt SPC and SigNET. This means the control room operator need only have one .NET common user interface with all functionality, signals and actions stored on a single SQL database. Alarm events and system management are handled together with remote control of areas, zones, access control and outputs, providing enhanced functionality. Doors can be locked and unlocked, and systems armed and disarmed without the necessity of a site visit.

For added security, polling to site and encryption is fully supported and the status of each area can be monitored. The Bold software supports dual receivers for redundancy and BS:5979 compliance. Used in nearly 200 UK and overseas ARCs and RVRCs, the new Bold interface enables the SPC and Signet panels to be managed alongside the complete range of current and legacy monitoring security products, including conventional alarms and CCTV within one system.

The SPC interface is in addition to the existing line up of third party alarm signalling products supported including DualCom, Honeywell Galaxy, Terrier SC, Emizon, Risko, BT Redcare and AES, as well as a range of popular CCTV products.

The Gemini solution is popular in a variety of applications including monitoring of high security sites, financial institutions, hospitals, government and local authorities, military sites, commercial and industrial sites worldwide. Brian Kelly, MD at Bold commented, “Most of our developments are driven by customer demand and the SigNET interface is no exception. The Europlex security product range can be found in many prestigious installations around the world. At a time when the trend toward IP security communications and system integration continues to grow, and customers demand a single high performance management application, we are pleased to have completed this work with Vanderbilt.”
