Bold support for Honeywell RapidEye

Bold Communications, have integrated Honeywell’s Rapid Eye monitoring solution into their Gemini software to combine the benefit of multi-platform, central station functionality with versatile, event-driven CCTV surveillance. Designed particularly with the BS:5979 central station environment in mind, but suitable for any integrated monitoring application, the module has been developed in response to Bold’s customers’ demands to handle CCTV and alarms seamlessly at the same workstation. Video alarms from Rapid Eye are presented in the Gemini application to the operator in exactly the same way as, for example, Redcare or “digi” alarms, allowing them to be handled quickly and efficiently through the use of a configurable workflow process. 

Combinations of alarm types can be linked to create intelligent and validated responses according to the site requirements. The advanced Gemini reports module provides one of the most advanced management information systems to further streamline the alarm management process. False alarm management ensures that loss of police response can be avoided and efficient management of operator workloads save costs and help prevents errors. 

Gemini has been designed in accordance with Bold’s philosophy of ‘complexity made simple’ - rationalising the handling of multiple security technologies. The adoption of Rapid Eye CCTV into the Gemini platform delivers a completely new world of monitoring performance.
