Plans for 2009

Reported February 2009

2009 is planned to be an eventful year for Bold Communications. We will be announcing a string of product news as well as being involved in a line-up of events, some of which are listed below.

Web News

Welcome to our new website! In addition to an up-dated interface, more useful information can be found, particularly in the ‘Members Area’ and an up-dated eCommerce shop. A new range of training materials, including Gemini ‘Getting Started’ manuals are available.

Gemini

Product News

Intense product investment in Gemini continues with new functional and integration modules being launched during the year. During 2008, we completed 8 new Gemini implementations, a mixture of conversions and completely new systems. While refinement is an on-going process, we feel that we are already at the stage of being able to provide painless and easy migrations to Gemini.

One of the major releases will be the new Gemini Web, providing remote and easy access for both installers and end-users. The design of Gemini Web has been the result of a great deal of hard work and we are confident that it will be well-received. Look out for further details.

Also imminent is Gemini Multiview, a major enhancement to the video module. As part of our initiative to further establish Gemini as the first choice for open-platform central station management systems, Multiview – as the name suggests – supports multiple CCTV systems, from diverse sites all through the popular Gemini security control interface. Again, further details of the capabilities of Multiview will soon be made public.

There are many less dramatic, but equally useful, enhancements in development; we will make sure that you are kept up to date with them all.

Events

Bold will again be supporting the Association of University Chief Security Officers annual conference in April with an exhibition stand. The Company is well established in this sector with many university clients and we hope to be able to generate further interest by attending this event.

While some companies may have decided against exhibiting at IFSEC this year, Bold will be there again in Hall 4 on stand D30 with twice the stand space of 2008. Please pay us a visit if you are planning to attend the show, we will definitely have some new developments for you to look at.
