GSM & GPRS Alarm Signalling
Bold GSM and GPRS alarm signalling devices can be installed with any control panel capable of generating an output and used over any standard mobile network, anywhere in the world. They are typically deployed where there is no landline or as wireless backup to provide dual path signalling.GSM devices use the voice channel to communicate the industry standard Contact ID protocol to alarm receiving centres, as well as SMS messages, with plain event descriptions, which can be received on an ordinary mobile phone. The GPRS transmitters can be used to convert existing alarm panels to signal Contact ID and Fast Format over the IP and mobile data network, supporting up to three signalling paths.
All devices can be handled in Bold’s monitoring solutions, are supported by our technical team and provide the complete solution for wireless alarm communications.
GSM LineGuard Alarm Transmitter
The Bold LineGuard is a simple, easy-to-use communications device which can be deployed either to replace or back up a PSTN landline. The LineGuard is the most cost-effective way of transforming existing digicom panels into dual-path signalling devices.
In the event of a communications failure, the LineGuard sends a comms fail message to up to two mobile phones – perfect for alerting the security or facilities manager to a problem. The LineGuard can then ensure any further activations are transmitted using Contact ID to an alarm receiver at an ARC.
For example, if an intruder cuts the analogue telephone line, the LineGuard will signal the Intruder Alarm to the monitoring centre over the GSM network. The Pager uses a standard voice SIM card from any mobile network operator and with a minimal talk time tariff, provides a cost-effective dual-signalling solution.
GSM Compact Transmitter – 2 inputs
The GSM Compact is a low cost, entry level GSM alarm transmitter. Simple to program and install, the device is suitable for any wireless signalling application. Supporting central station alarm signalling and SMS with 2 inputs and 1 relay output, the Compact is a breakthrough in professional alarm signalling.
• 2 NO/NC inputs
• 1 relay output
• Contact ID and SMS signalling
• Configurable SMS Text
GSM Pager Plus – 6 inputs
The GSM Pager Plus is an alarm transmitter using a standard voice SIM from any mobile network to communicate over the GSM voice channel. The unit supports 6 hard-wired NO/NC inputs, 1 relay output, programmable test signals and is simple to program via USB with the supplied software.
Reporting to the ARC in Contact ID format, the Pager Plus can also send SMS alerts to up to 4 subscribers. The Pager Plus can be used with any industry standard alarm panel and is used, typically, where a PSTN line is not available or as backup. The unit is popular for a wide range of applications including environmental and plant monitoring.
